Iligan City, the city of 20 waterfalls which Tinago Falls is one of them. On the way to the location from the highway is quite an adventure itself. The road was rough but we made it. The motor driver was an expert and he charged P25 per person. My 2 brothers were with me, so we paid 75 pesos.
It is trully hidden and mother nature did a great job preserving this beautiful gift. When we got there, the steps going down to the falls are so steep. It's a good thing it has rails you can hold on to, but I got my hiking gear with me.
It has an elevation of approximately 420 feet. There's also a rope that you can tug going near the waterfalls and riding the bamboo thingy. lol! The water is so deep! Thank God for lifejackets!
It is truly majestic and you can feel you're being connected with nature. You can hear the sound and impact of the waterfalls, feeling the mist in your cheeks and just enjoying the lush vegetation around.
You can never compare the fun, excitement and adventure you'll experience here. It's different! I climbed the rocks & jumped! How fun it was!!! I've never felt anything like that before!
The entrance fee is 10pesos. You can also rent the life jacket there. It is becoming more popular tourist destination. There were about 5 foreign nationals when we were there. Tinago Falls is a fun experience I will never forget and I get to share it with my brothers. That was a fun holiday vacation we'll always remember.
Reminder: Bring your own food/snacks, water, suncreen, garbage bag.
